Tasks & Scheduling
Tasks help your team stay on top of follow-ups, meetings, and action items. View tasks in kanban boards or calendar format, and assign them to team members.
Creating Tasks
- Click New Task from the tasks page, or use the keyboard shortcut
Ctrl+Shift+T(Mac:⌘+Shift+T) - Fill in:
- Title — what needs to be done
- Description — additional context
- Due date — when it should be completed
- Assignee — team member responsible
- Priority — low, medium, high, urgent
- Related to — link to a lead, deal, or contact
Task Views
Kanban Board
Tasks organized by status columns:
- To Do — not yet started
- In Progress — currently being worked on
- Done — completed
Drag tasks between columns to update status.
Calendar View
See tasks laid out on a calendar by due date. Useful for planning your week and spotting scheduling conflicts.
List View
A sortable, filterable table of all tasks. Sort by due date, priority, assignee, or status.
Task Assignment
- Assign tasks to yourself or team members
- Assignees receive notifications for new tasks and approaching due dates
- Filter the task view by assignee to see a team member’s workload
Linked Tasks
Tasks can be linked to:
- Leads — “Follow up with lead after demo”
- Deals — “Send revised proposal”
- Contacts — “Schedule quarterly check-in”
Linked tasks appear on the related entity’s detail page.
Tips
- Use keyboard shortcut
Ctrl+Shift+Tto quickly create tasks from anywhere - Set due dates to see tasks in the calendar view
- Review overdue tasks daily — they surface at the top of the kanban board
